This typical Spanish farming village bordering on the province of Murcia is located near to the Reciot and Acayat Sierras. It only became independent in 1934. The village is dedicated to the growing of vines and the production of oil and almonds and forms part of the area whose wines are entitled to use the Denominacin de Origen (guarantee of original) label of the province of Alicante. The village also produces spirits and works made of marble. There are local amenities/facilities but you will find additional ones in the larger town of Pinoso which is about 8 kms away or in the spa town of Fortuna which is only a 15 min drive. The area has excellent access which makes anywhere in Spain easily accessible including Alicante airport and its beautiful city with a fabulous marina and blue flag sandy beaches. The whole stretch of coastline from Alicante down to the Mar Menor are within easy reach
