Location
Located on the Costa Brava coast 50 mins from Girona, Llafranc is one of the most charming and beautiful places on earth! Llafranc is a small town, with a long beach backed by pine trees and a promenade, numerous restaurants and a small marina.
The surronding coastline is dotted with white sandy cove beaches (Agua Blava is a beauty) and rustic fishing villages. The region has many many good restaurants offering good local Catalan fare - El Bulli was awarded World's Best Restaurant in 2006.
For the more active there are a lots of great golf courses including Emporda and Pals (where the European tour qualifying has been palyed) as well as numerous walking and cycle trails and of course access to all sorts of watersports. The Pyrenees are an easy day trip for some stunning scenery and great walks.
The area is steeped in history and art with Roman ruins and medievil towns to explore such as Pals and Peretallada as well as Salvador Dali's museum in Figueres.
Llafranc is just a great place for a holiday.
