The Mallorca Tourist Board has organised several cultural and sport activities to commemorate its 100 year centenary.

According to a report published by Esteve Bardolet, economist and member of the Mallorca Tourist Board, from 1905 to 2005, approximately 180 million tourists have visited Mallorca. Amongst these, 62 million are British, 59 million are German and 22 million are Spanish.

Most of Mallorca's best beaches are on the north and east coasts and, although many have been swallowed up by tourist developments, you can still find the occasional exception.
