One of the 8 provinces in Andalucia region, Jaen takes it name from its capital city. This region is most invaluable in the whole of Spain because of the wide variety of wilderness found here. With numerous historical structures and glorious examples of architectural excellence, one of the most significant monuments is the Cathedral built as long back as in the 16th and 18th centuries. The Moorish castle that has now been converted into a Parador is majestically located on the top of Mt. Santa Catalina.
