Extremadura consists of two provinces, Caceres and Badajoz. It shares its borders with Portugal in the west, Andalusia in the south, and Castilla la Mancha in the east. The capital of the region is Merida and has some really ancient and fantastic Roman ruins. It has a rich and diverse landscape that is characterized by ranges of mountains – Cordillera Central, Montes de Toledo and Sierra Morena, fertile plains and valleys of the two rivers Tajo and Guadiana. The climate is continental with warm summers and cold winters. The region is particularly famous for its several natural parks and reserves, while the valleys of the rivers provide an ideal environment to some of the most important ecological reserves. Some great wine and fine pottery work add to the appeal of this province.
Property in Extremadura is surrounded by beauty of nature and gives you the taste of ‘Real’ Spain away from its costas. Currently touted as the next best place to invest.
